About the Event
‘Who Am I?’
Who Are We?
What makes Me...Me?
Using natural and sensory materials, we will explore our roots, identity and culture, creating a collaborative community pop up exhibition that will grow throughout the day.
Activities include mark making with potatoes, making clay dolls inspired by the Bangladeshi art form of Tepa Putul and painting with spices!
This exciting array of ‘Create & Make’ activities has been especially designed for AIS Festival by visual artists Sim Mystry, Shamila Chady and Ismail Khokon. This talented and knowledgeable team are passionate about engaging communities with making art, encouraging people to express themselves and their identity in authentic, creative and exploratory ways.
