ABOUT THE EVENT

TV commentator Daniel Routledge speaks to Leicester Riders’ Forward Jamell Anderson about diversity and representation in sport.

Linking to our Sofa Cinema experience of ‘Bend it Like Beckham’, we explore the barriers and challenges facing BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) athletes in professional sport, and ask what influence players at the top of their game can have on wider behaviour and attitudes across society.

With Leicester Riders, Jamell Anderson has won the British Basketball League (BBL) Cup, the Championship, and the Playoff. He has also competed internationally for Great Britian and England at the Commonwealth Games

This event is part of An Indian Summer's SOFA CINEMA programme. SOFA Cinema is part of Film FeelsConnected, a UK-wide cinema season, supported by the National Lottery and BFI Film Audience Network. Explore all films and events at filmfeels.co.uk
